Breakers and Fuses
They
are located in
the walk-in closets of the one and two bedroom/one bath units. In the
two bedroom/two bath units, they are located
in the small bedroom closet.
Heat
Check the items below first. If
the hints don't help and ONLY IN
CASE OF AN EXTREME EMERGENCY, turn on your oven to
375 degrees and close the oven door until the maintenance person arrives.
- Feel the
registers and see if they are hot.
- Make sure
the wall thermostat is turned up.
- Check the
flaps on baseboard heaters.
Make sure they are open.
- Make
sure you leave the thermostat turned up while
waiting for maintenance.
- DO
NOT wait
until the evening to submit a maintenance/ service request if
you
have a heat problem.
If the heat is
off in the
morning contact us right away.
Garbage
Disposal
The
disposal should be used with COLD water.
Always run water
for a
few seconds after turning the disposal off. If your disposal
is not
working, locate
the reset button on the unit under the sink.
If this does not work,
then contact maintenance.
Range
and Range Hood
If
you ever smell a strong gas oder, contact the rental office immediately.
Smoke
Detectors
Check
the red light on the detector. If it is not on, check your
circuit breaker
or fuse before contacting maintenance.
